RedForge is a local-first application. You can run models through local runtimes or choose to connect a hosted provider. This page describes how those choices affect your data.
What the application collects
RedForge does not require a RedForge account or send prompts and results to a RedForge cloud service. With a local runtime, model inference stays on your computer. If you connect a hosted provider, the requests you send to it leave your machine and are handled under that provider's policies.
Where your data lives
Workspace records, including evaluation sessions, findings, and reports, are stored in a local SQLite database on your machine. Requests sent to a hosted provider are also processed by that provider. Review its privacy policy before sending sensitive material.
This website
This marketing website is a static site. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and requests release information from GitHub so download links can point to current installers. Your browser contacts those services for those requests.
Third parties
Local runtimes such as Ollama run on your machine. Downloading models contacts the selected model source. If you choose a hosted provider, RedForge sends requests to that provider using the connection you configure.
